Mikayla Kelly Turner

Born July 16, 2014
4lbs 9oz.
36 Weeks gestation
Healthy NO NICU!!!

The week before her birthday during one of my twice a week visits to the Dr she had a irregular heart deceleration that was some cause for concerns. After two nights at the hospital and hours of monitoring we (Dr and Jeff and I) decided to place it safe and plan her delivery at 36 weeks. I got to go home and decorate her room! Prepare our house for a early addition for the family and rest. Which was very hard to do knowing that something funny was going on. My parents flew in Tuesday evening and were there to take care of Dymitrik. We could not have done this week without them! Here are a few photos and many more to come!

Her temperature was a little low at first so they put her in this "nest" to keep her warm.

Big brother came to see her and was very timid at first.

Grandma could not get enough of this tiny little girl!

The hospital stay was nice at the new SMH mother baby unit! We got some flowers and balloons from friends. I chose to limit visitors this time and I really think it helped. My repeat c-section recovery seems to be going much smoother than with Dymitrik. I'm guessing it was mostly because of the infection I had with him but maybe it's because I knew what to expect???

We had to keep big brother entertained LOL

She may not look tiny because she is so perfect but she left the hospital at 4lbs 3oz. It was very nerve wrecking to see her in the carseat. Needless to say she will not be in the car very often. She actually had to pass a carseat test....they testing her oxygen and some other things while she sat in the carseat for an hour! She passed! She seems to be an over achiever already. Pooping like crazy :)

Fist Day of "School"

Dymitrik started at a Daycare/preschool June 4th. He wouldn't let me get a good picture but was super excited to wear his new backpack. He started during their summer camp so he gets to dressup. Bring items for show and tell and have water play! Which was a pretty good time to start since he is a kid of habit and not to good with transitions. Mornings are still a little tough at drop off but he has a good time!

Father's Day we got to have some "Sun N Fun"
There is this great RV Resort around the corner from us that has a great splash pool for him and a BIG pool for us. He really is starting to swim quite a bit but will be taking lessons July 14th for two weeks. We can't wait!

He is also starting to love climbing trees!

On of his best buds had a Birthday party at the firehouse. It was fantastic! He got to climb in the engine, shoot the house water and hasn't stopped putting out "fires" since! It was a great way to introduce what a real fireman looks like just in case there is ever an emergency!

Buffalo folks. Maybe this is a great ides for the kids...just put the boots in the snowsuit so they can put it all on in one piece?
